Michael W. Wells

President

REI Investments, Inc.


Mike Wells serves as President of REI Investments, Inc., the manager of REI Real Estate Services, LLC.  Over the past 30 years Mr. Wells has been involved in several significant real estate projects including the JW Marriott Hotel, Marriott Place, Circle City Mall, Wellpoint Operation Center, Emmis Communications Headquarters and the Indianapolis Marriott Hotel, all in downtown Indianapolis.  Currently, REI has a several hotels and multi-family projects under development in Charlotte, Louisville, Kentucky and Austin, Texas.

In addition to his development activities, Mr. Wells manages the real estate investments owned by REI Real Estate Partnership.  These investments include 300 North Meridian in downtown Indianapolis, several parking garages and numerous suburban office buildings. REI currently has over $750 million of development projects ongoing.

Prior to his career with REI, Mr. Wells was a practicing attorney in Indianapolis, specializing in the real estate and tax-exempt financing area.

Mr. Wells graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law – Indiana University and received a B.S. from Purdue University in Interdisciplinary Engineering.  Community activities include serving as a Board member of the Purdue Research Foundation, Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Chamber Foundation, Robert H. McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors, Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Indiana Chamber Foundation and Crossroads Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  Mr. Wells also serves on the Executive Committee of the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Board of Directors and is Chairman of the American Pianists Association. Mr. Wells is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and alumnus of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership program

Gregory Gurnik

Principle & Founder


Greg is the principle and Founder of GCG Investments, LLC, a holding company that Focuses primary on the acquisition of a variety of value added real estate, developments and operating companies. Prior to that he was a senior principle of Lauth Property Group. Under his leadership as President and CEO, he was instrumental in growing the development and construction Company from a small Indianapolis developer into one of the largest privately held commercial developers in the United States during his tenure of approximately 25 years. Greg was actively involved as the principle in charge of Lauth’s nationwide development and construction activity as well as planning Lauth’s general corporate strategy. While at Lauth, they were active in office, industrial, retail, and healthcare development with activity and offices throughout the majority of the Country. In addition to developing well over one billion dollars of estate, Lauth was the 50% partner and developer/contractor for the French Lick Resort and Casino. Greg was elected as one of the top 40 individuals in the industry nationwide by the National Real Estate News.

During his career that has spanned over four decades, Greg was previously involved with providing development and construction services to multiple national developers including the Trammel Crow Company. Greg also worked for a contractor as part of the administrative staff on a    major nuclear power plant project. Greg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue university and has been active in ICSC as well as the Young presidents Organization.

Mark T. Mazur

Merrill Property Group Advisory Board Member


Mark is a Managing Principal of Westminster Capital and has worked at the firm since 2000.  Westminster Capital manages real estate investment strategies on behalf of private wealth capital, including sponsorship of closed-end investment funds and separate account portfolios totaling $1 Billion of investor capital.

Before joining Westminster Capital in 2000, Mark was Chief Investment Officer for a private real estate investment fund.  His responsibilities included all aspects of the acquisition process from identification of opportunities, negotiation, financial analysis, due diligence, financing, and asset management.  Prior to that, Mark worked for 10 years at JLL in various capacities including investment sales, asset management, development, property management, and leasing.  In his last assignment, he oversaw the Healthcare Investment Services Group. Before joining LaSalle Partners, he was a district sales manager for Chrysler Corporation.  He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
